Colapinto's surprising confession in Monaco: "If you win, it's your turn..."

Franco Colapinto is preparing for his second challenge of the Formula 1 season, this time in a traditional race like the Monaco Grand Prix . And in the days leading up to the race weekend, the Argentine driver spoke out, and in addition to providing details on his racing career, he made a curious revelation about his personal life.
"We're in Monaco. I was cycling in France, but it's complicated here. My mom came to accompany me," Colapinto told ESPN. He also revealed his time at the Cannes Film Festival. "I've never worn a shirt in my life; I don't know how to button it. I've never worn a tuxedo before. They told me I had to wear it to Cannes. I rented one; they charged me a fortune," added the Argentine, who dreams of winning in Monaco. "If you win in Monaco, you get to go to lunch with the Prince. I hope I have to rent another tuxedo," he said, laughing.
Monaco is the most traditional circuit in Formula 1, but it's also known for its difficulty, although Colapinto likes it. "I like street circuits; Monaco is a high-confidence track. I may not have that confidence in the car, but I'm going little by little. I'm sure I'll be able to adapt, but we have to take it one step at a time. We may be in trouble in some places, but we'll be able to do a good job," said the Argentine.
"It's a circuit that suits us a little more. It's a historic circuit; driving between the walls is always a pleasure in Monaco. The car feels good in fast corners, but in slow corners it's a little more difficult for us. We're going to adapt the car to create a good package. In slow corners, traction is very difficult for us. We have to work on that. We struggle a lot with traction, so we'll work on it. After the first few practices, we'll arrive in a more confident position. To be more precise," said Colapinto.
The debut at Imola was positive for the Argentine. "During free practice, I struggled to reach the limit; it's a tough car, and it's hard to feel what the car is doing. When you push it to the limit, it's important to feel that. I'm missing that sensitivity, which I don't have yet. It's what I'm looking for, but I'm sure it will get better," said Colapinto.
The only negative point of the weekend was the crash in qualifying, which prevented him from starting further up the field. "In Qualifying, you push yourself to the limit; I pushed too hard, and we're learning. Luckily, the race was good, with a good pace. The team works differently when you're a driver than when you're not. I'm happy because I brought new things to the team. I felt the car, but it's about finding the limit little by little," said Colapinto.
For the Argentine, everything has been a learning curve since his arrival at Alpine. "It's a new team, it's something you're not familiar with, there's no comparison. I knew about Williams, and this is different. You're fighting with that and looking for what you had before. You have to continue on this path, learning," Colapinto said.
